Failing to hide
Not only is this a bright red car (its a Diplomatic Protection Group car, and the dots at the top of the windscreen signify that they’re armed!) it’s also not brilliant at hiding behind the fence is it with it’s lights on… On the plus side they didn’t arrest me for taking a photograph of them. Can you tell a theme at the moment? Yep I’m trying to debunk the myth of the UK war on photography that frankly doesn’t exist.

Due to the lack of driver and what seems to be a passenger i’m inclined to think it’s coffee break time.
Yesterday I took photos of a number of Metropolitan police vehicles right outside Territorial Support on the embankment three of which were Range Rover Bomb Squad vehicles at no time was I approached by any police officers, I even had two armed officers walk past me who were not in the least interested in me.

A Bold assertion, especially for those of us who have been stopped.
Got stopped from Taking Pictures in Docklands. But go on any message board for a General Photography Group on Flickr and you’ll find hundreds if not thousands of people who have gone through the same thing. It might not be a war on Photographers but taking pictures in London ‘ain’t’ what it used to be! Have you seen the Scotland Yard Campaign urging people to report photographers acting suspiciously complete with a poster highlighting a camera as a terrorist weapon? I could go on…
