The memorial was erected in 1926; dedicated to the five Foot Guards regiments of the Great War. The Guardsmen are Sergeant R. Bradshaw, M.M., Grenadier Guards, Lance Corporal J. S. Richardson Coldstream Guards, Guardsman J. McDonald Scots Guards, Simon McCarthy, Irish Guards and Guardsman A. Comley, Welsh Guards. The figures were cast from guns taken from Germans during the Great War.

If you’re ever in London, I suggest you take the Thames Clipper, not only is it as cheap as the Tube, its quicker and more sane. This group are travelling just East of Waterloo on the way to Tower Bridge.
