Well we’re now at the end of a seven day series of articles about my workflow. This missing piece is how I keep everything safe.
So far we’ve managed to work out where the shot was taken, get it into Lightroom and work out whether it’s keeper – now what?
I personally start with Presets, they allow you to quickly see what a photograph would look like when processed in different ways.
Yesterday I showed you the GeoTagging part of the process, today’s quite a short one (it is Boxing Day after all)
So you got a new piece of gear for christmas huh? Whether it’s a new camera body or simply a lens cloth.
Go and use it I’ll wait…
…Right so you’ve got a camera full (or at least a few shots) now what? Well here’s what I do, I’m not saying its the only way – nor the best – but I’m writing this in the hope that not only I help you – but you can also help me!
Another quick one today, but a very important one. Many people leave their photos with the name form the camera – or none at all, and there are a lot of photos out there who go un-noticed as they are lost in the hundreds of others. Titles, tags and captions will help.
By now you should have hundreds, if not tens of photos ready to rock and roll, so how do I sort all of mine out?
Firstly After the geotagging and import I move them down a level (as I said on Christmas Day ) to year/month/day – just to tidy it up a bit more.
Nice set of articles about your workflow. Always interesting to see how others do. Thanks.
