Groundhog Day Photography Resolutions for 2008
In the spirit of David Seah’s successful resolutions from 2007 (so named as they are checked on the nth day of the nth month and the first is Groundhog Day, the 2nd of February) I’ve decided to make mine public to see if I can keep to them!
- Start selling my photography
Whether it’s by license through Getty, iStockPhoto or PhotoShelter; or by print or canvas* I’d like to get my first sale - even more so if it’s not a friend or family. - Contribute more to the community
Whether this means commenting more (rather than just faving but writing why) or whether its more into getting more Photo Walking going on - starting with January 12th. - Get my best shots up on this site
Whether it’s the ones I’d consider, or you’d consider through faving /commenting on Flickr and Zooomr, sellable - even if it means posting one a day! I’ve got a feeling I’ll be posting up 4 old and 3 new ones per week - Write testimonials for other photographers on this site
There are a lot of photographers I admire - those world renound and those yet to be - I’m going to write up one a week on this site - Shoot more Portraits
I didn’t really get traction on the december challenge but the few I had I like - I need to shoot more, at least two a month that I’m willing and allowed to share
So that’s it - Roll on 2008 and I’ll post my first review on Groundhog Day.
*If you know of a US or UK site that can be used from this site directly (rather than a walled garden gallery please let me know in the comments
UPDATE: David the Strobist has published his resolutions…
UPDATE 2: Draokor has published his resolutions (in two languages!)…
UPDATE 3: KevinDevin has published his resolutions…
