Ground Hog Resolution Review Day: 1

Back in January I wrote up a list of ground hog day Resolutions for 2008. The premise is that on palindromic (!) days - i.e. the 2nd of February, 3rd of March etc - I review the goals, targets and objectives. Thanks to Dave Seah for the idea.

Sadly on Groundhog day itself I was stuck inside with a migraine so I don’t know if there are six more weeks of winter, but that’s another story.

So how am I getting on?

1. Start selling my photography
   This hasn’t got very far I’m afriad. I’ve worked out the technicalities of receiving PayPal (through another project) but I am yet to go into production. I still have to figure out what kind of run, price, sizes etc to do and most of all which I can and can’t sell commercially.
2. Contribute more to the community
   I’m quite proud of the London photowalk back in January - and more so of the poeple I met that day. In fact I’m going on one in a dis-used tube station in April, on a few weeks away and a Docklands one. And these aren’t even of my doing. Will I organise one again, definitely, when? Well as soon as there’s a gap in everyone’s schedule! I’m even thinking of meeting some contacts overseas! With over 4,000 shots from my contacts on Zooomr and Flickr to go through and comment on, so not good on that front either…
3. Get my best shots up on this site
   Apart from the problems with Zooomr’s infrastructure (only temporary I’m told) I’ve been posting irregularly in the past few weeks - I haven’t really shot much either to be honest but there are archives to churn through so I’ll start posting them up. Whether I should re-process them is another article to write…
4. Write testimonials for other photographers on this site
   Again I’ve only got round to writing one up so far (Mathias Pastwa). I will post at least two this month, but who will they be?
   
5. Shoot more Portraits
   Damn January’s been rubbish - I’ve not got much to say on this front either.

Overall? February has to be much better - I need to keep my camera with me and shoot every day - although I’m getting a bit stale of the normal areas so I need to get out and about in different areas after work, while it’s still dark.
