Staring concentration
This shot (about 7 months old) is from a cold day with the wind flowing through this horse's hair. He came over to say hello while Dad and I walked through the forest. I think he trusts me, and I trust him. Interestingly I'm watching Walk the Line in the background, and the colour treatment appears to have worn off unexpectedly! - Best Viewed Bigger
This cart was shot on sunday (so just in March! oops!) just south of Ringwood. It's obviously been forgotten and left to pasture. - Best Viewed Bigger
I'm not sure if this is Clove or Paprika but this is one of my favourite shots of the day. Their native habitat is the Americas so keep your eyes peeled over there! - Best Viewed Bigger

Misty Picket PostI drove past this in Christmas 2004 and this is the first time I’ve seen this happen since. The mist rolls down below Picket Post down towards Bournemouth. Truly unbelievable yet I got the shot!

One of the birds you're most likely to see along side a road in Britain is a Kestrel like this (he's a male - the females are all brown). Amazingly they see UV light and track rodents' urine trail along verges before hovering above them. Sadly the toxic nature of roadsides are affecting the food chain; so they may not be around for long. - Best Viewed Bigger
